Aloha from Maui! My name is Melissa Salvador and I am a native of San Jose, CA. I moved to Maui in January of 2001 with a suitcase and some money. No family or friends here, no place setup to live, no job. I left my corporate job in the Bay Area to spread my wings at 26 years old and try the beach life. Eventually I landed back in the corporate world here on Maui (same stress, different location). After losing my dad and then my mom in a short period of time (2019 and 2022, respectively), I took the opportunity to break away from corporate work again and take a stab at my own business. What started out as grief therapy and a hobby quickly grew into a passion and Sweet Bella Blooms! I intentionally choose to be in a niche market of JUST FLOWERS and JUST CUPCAKES. No, I do not do cakes and cookies, and no I do not do cows, dogs, Spider Man or Pokemon. Just Flowers. They make me happy and I'm good at it. :)
I look forward to making my floral cupcakes for you someday soon!
In the middle is a standard size cupcake.
On the Right is a Sweet Bella Bloom cupcake.
Not as big as a Jumbo, but bigger than a standard cupcake.
Even my minis are bigger than a store-bought mini.
I buy my liners from the UK, and they're just a couple bites more,
and just a bit more canvas for more beautiful florals!
This is my beautiful mom, Gail. I lost her to cancer in 2022, after she just moved here to Maui to be with me and my family. A proud 100% Italian and amazing gardener, I created Sweet Bella Blooms in honor of her. When I pipe flowers, I think of her, picturing her pointing out and naming all the different flowers at the nurseries when she took me with her as a kid.
Amor di madre, amore senza limiti: A mother's love has no limits.
I miss her every day.
I met my husband Keith here on Maui (my future mother-in-law set us up!) and we have a beautiful son, Nainoa. I have 2 grown bonus daughters that I cherish as my own, Amber and Kylie.
We have 3 grandbabies, 3 dogs, and 3 classic VW's. La Vita é Bella!
I work out of my home kitchen in Wailuku, Maui.
This is where you will pick up your order.
This is not a commercial kitchen and not inspected by
the Dept of Health.
